Bio
Asya Toney, founder and CEO of American Pharaoh Productions LLC, is a musical theatre performer and choreographer, currently based in Denver, Colorado. She has a BS with Honors in Vocal Music Performance from the University of Colorado Denver and earned an MFA in Musical Theatre Performance from a top UK drama school, the Guildford School of Acting in September 2019. Asya's most prominent credits include the London West End debut of her original cabaret, American Pharaoh and producing the first ever Virtual Black Pride in Colorado in 2020. She has also worked professionally in the US for several years as a choreographer, Drag Queen, Ballroom Assassin, and Burlesque performer. Trained in a variety of styles from Ballet, Tap, and Jazz Dance; as well as Contemporary, Classical, Pop, and Rock vocal genres, Asya consistently offers a high caliber performance. Asya is also a professor of Theatre Arts at the Community College of Denver.
